The Simple but Mysterious Science behind Meditation

Do you remember? When we are under pressure to complete a project and our mind goes totally blank after hours of putting in hard work, we decide to throw it all away and go out for a walk or take a shower or lie down on the couch.

And suddenly the solution strikes in a fraction of a second and disappears again!!

This happens very few times in our life.

Have you ever wondered why a few times?

Is it possible to have a relaxed mind all the time?

So I don’t have to waste my 60 years if I can do it in 4 years?

The answer is simple. Yes.

How? Meditate daily.

How can meditation solve my problem?

To understand this, you need to understand Gamma waves first.

What are gamma waves?

Our brain produces 5 different frequencies of waves:

Delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma.

Delta waves are produced when we are sleepy and dreamy.

Theta waves are produced when we are drowsy.

Alpha waves are produced when we are relaxed.

Beta waves are produced when we are working actively.

Gamma waves are produced when our brain is extremely focused on one thing.

See the difference?

Gamma waves are the fastest brain waves.

Gamma waves are associated with the highest capacity of brain functions.

Gamma waves connect details from all parts of the brain.

So your brain can work at its peak efficiency.

Benefits of the high level of gamma waves:

Wait, how gamma waves are connected to meditation?

In our day-to-day life, the Gamma wave produces for a fraction of a second only and we get the solution for our problem in that fraction.

Meanwhile, we tend to create so much anger, aggression, depression, and anxiety to find the solution for ages.

Now, imagine if we practice relaxing our minds that can produce a high level of gamma waves, how easy and peaceful would our life be? How beautiful our relations would be?

Meditation helps our mind to relax from time to time.

During meditation, our brain produces a high level of gamma waves that lasts for minutes. Isn’t this amazing?

By doing daily meditation, you can experience a constant state of awareness in your daily life, even while sleeping, not just when you are meditating.

Wow! Now, this is something interesting.

Monks, athletes, painters, and musicians deeply love what they are doing, which produces gamma waves and improves their performance.

Meditation increases serotonin and dopamine secretion (the two happy hormones) by up to 65%!!!!

Studies have shown that meditators can handle the situation extremely well and are very quick in learning to find solutions than non-meditators.

I think you are pretty convinced to do meditation by now.

The science behind it:

Experts say that a person thinks 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts per day. Among them, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive.

By doing meditation, you can get rid of unwanted thoughts. There is a state of mind called “thoughtlessness”. We can reach that state of mind by doing meditation.

Do I need to believe in God or something to meditate?

Nope!

You don’t need to believe in God or religion to meditate. Think this in the broad aspect like Yoga is not for any specific religion.

The sun gives light to everybody, whether or not you want it. It does not differentiate between religion or animals or plants. It’s up to you if you choose to keep your windows closed, then sunlight can never enter your house.

So be open in your mind in every aspect of life.

Let me give you a straightforward example. One battery cannot charge itself from another battery, right? It will get discharged soon. It needs a powerhouse to charge itself

So the same applies here also. If you connect yourself to a higher frequency believing there is infinite universal energy, which cannot be created or destroyed, all you need to do is plugged into that universal energy and it’s done!!

The moral of the story is when you believe there is some higher energy; you can easily connect to it and receive it

I heard we can only do meditation in your 60s. Am I not too young to do meditation?

Let me ask you,

When is the right time to learn how to react?

When is the right time to learn how to behave?

When is the right time to learn about what you want in your life?

At a very young age, correct?

It is the age when you have plenty of time to learn and shape your future. So it’s a myth that society has created that meditation can only be done in your 60s or you must leave your house and run to the jungle to meditate.

At what time should I meditate?

Brahma muhurta time (the earliest morning- time before the sun rises) is the best time to meditate

Why? Because it is the highest energy time of the day. The time when most of the minds are at sleep. It is the time when there is no anger, aggression, depression, or anxiety in the atmosphere. It is the time when our mind can absorb the most.

Tip: If you have got any problem, wake up, just sit and try to find the solution. You will get an intuition.

Initially, it’s ok if you are meditating at your comfortable time, but I highly recommend rescheduling your day if you need to. Because these 30 minutes of the morning can give you high-frequency energy that runs throughout your day.

You can get even tremendous and fast results if you are doing collective meditation.

There is a science behind the Buddhist monks’ collective meditation. If it is hard to find a meditation center nearby, there are plenty of online YouTube channels that offer collective meditation that you can help yourself with.

Do I need to meditate every day?

Yes.

Why? Do we need to bathe every day to keep our bodies clean? Yes. Physical stain is easy to see.

Think in the same way for your mind.

If there is a stain on your shirt, it’s easy to clean it if you wipe it off immediately. But if you get lazy and let the stain get harden enough, the new stain will cover it over and over. And now you have a hard layer by layer of dirt. Now it is really difficult to clean it.

See?

The same goes with the mind. We think thousands of thoughts every single day. We have to deal with plenty of unwanted situations and people in our day-to-day life. So, to get a clutter-free mind, we need to meditate every single day.

No need to hold on to that painful memory of your childhood. No need to keep repeating that difficult situation that happened 2 years ago. Clear your mind every day. So you can give space for better experiences.

How will meditation improve my daily life?

· You get a calm, peaceful mind. A calm mind is super powerful. It is alert, ready, sharp, and confident.

· You can build a powerful protective shield (aura- now one can see their aura by Kirlian photography) around you where not a trace of negativity can affect you. Negativity in any form — unpleasant situation, bad person, terrible accidents, illness or you can say anything bad in general.

· There is no need to fight your bad habits and addiction. Because meditation is the only remedy where you don’t have to leave anything, bad habits and addictions will leave you.

· You can experience your life beyond pain and pleasure.

· Mental, physical, emotional, social, and financial health are side effects you get by doing meditation.

· It improves learning capability, and self-esteem and sharpens memory.

· It prevents you from falling into the never-ending cycle of multitasking.

By doing meditation, you are carrying your 20 feet world (aura) with you where ever you go. It will protect you no matter how bad your surroundings are. We are living in an era where if you skip your meal at a time, it will not harm you, but if you skip meditation, it will cost you a lot.
